The road to Gaillac

Passed through quite some changes to the scenery from the rocky coastline of the Costa Brava, dusty rocky outcroppings, then on to dry vineyards of Fitou, further and the rolling hills and vineyards of the Herault region and finally more lush fields of corn and sunflowers.
I almost ran out of petrol as each station I passed was closed one after the other, everywhere is closed in France after midday on Sunday it seems!
Finally found an automated pump at a closed supermarket with only a few drops remaining in the tank.
Gaillac is a small town on the banks of the river Tarn, it is a meeting of several roads and has an Abbey.
Glad to be here after a long hot ride today
