Puncture !

I rolled into a small village square at about 2.30 pm and the steering went very stiff and hard to handle
The front tyre had a puncture.
Small village place everywhere closed for siesta except a bar where nobody speaks English
After several trials with my phrase book
( nobody understood a word )
I resorted to sign language and eventually  discovered a little garage that repairs tractors, but does puncture repairs on 200 yards down the road from the square
It was a storage dark oily place and his wife was sat in the thick of it all knitting!
Eventually he worked out what I needed and he had a machine to take tyres on and off easily so that was a relief
Standing around in 32degrees of heat was a toil though
It took about an hour in between him servicing the odd tractor!
Managed to get set off again with some trepidation as I've never had the front wheel of this bike before.
Torque settings and wheel balancing were not on the agenda!
If it shakes a bit at higher speeds I'll have to get it balanced again.
At least I'm on my way !
